Welcome to my world of graphic design!

Elemental Festival

Elemental Festival is a four-day music and art festival that takes place at the Hostel in the Forest in Brunswick, Georgia. There is live acoustic music alongside creative activities that center around the four natural elements: fire, earth, air, and water. The festival takes place outdoors, and it is a social, community-based experience. Elemental Festival takes a less traditional approach to music festivals, and instead embraces a much more holistic and unfiltered feel. The open-air setting allows concertgoers to embrace the elements that surround them and feel more connected to one another as well. The lineup was carefully crafted based on astrological placements and knowledge of the musicians’ work in relation to nature. The dates of the festival are March 21st to 24th, 2024, which corresponds to the timing of the spring equinox.

This series includes a promotional poster for all four days of the festival, each of which is based on a specific element and takes inspiration from both the scientific and spiritual connotations surrounding them. Every poster features a different descriptive word that evokes the meaning behind each specific element. These words incorporate texture, which furthers the nature theme, and adds to the organic feel of the series. The call to action is the social media handle, which takes viewers to the festival’s Instagram page to learn more about the details of the event.

wild & written

Wild & Written started out as a paper sample booklet for an assignment, and then evolved into a booklet with striking visuals accompanying beautiful poetry. All of the written content within the booklet is short poems written about nature, including some of my favorite poems of all time. Since these poems are delicate and soft, I paired them with bold and vibrant photos to emphasize the beauty and distinction of the natural world.

Flora

Flora is a brand that represents a mindful lifestyle rooted in herbal solutions and natural remedies. The storefront is located near North Park in the Pearl District of Portland, Oregon; it serves as a multipurpose space, striving to connect people with the power of plants. Outside, there is a courtyard and community garden. Inside, there is a café and market that sells herbs, produce, and infused beverages; ultimately, Flora sells wellness and wisdom. Everything is organic and ethically sourced, and education is one of the main purposes of the store. Flora also sells local art, merchandise, and books, including its own herbal journal. It offers workshops and other educational resources, and ultimately provides an empathetic environment for people to learn about how herbs can assist them in their day-to-day lives. Community, sustainability, and transparency are at the heart of Flora. They promote a purposeful, plant-based approach to holistic health and spiritual growth.

Collaborative Projects

  • Fine Tune

Fine Tune is a graphic design studio that specializes in developing visual identities and design systems for independent artists in the music industry. We focus on up-and-coming musicians who may not have a solid foundation of visual identity yet. We aim to tell artists’ stories as authentically, concisely, and boldy as possible. Our work is impactful, innovative, cohesive, and personal. Creative narrative always drives the aesthetic, and intentionality is behind every design decision.

Our first client is TOPS, an independent pop band from Montreal, Canada. TOPS currently has four albums out, but they are lacking a unified aesthetic, and some of their artwork does not seem to align with their story. They have strong sonic influence from the 60s and 70s, and their sound can be described as ethereal yet melancholic. My Fine Tune team and I created an array of visual assets for the band to use in the next album’s release.

  • SPIRAL

SPIRAL is a campaign focused on mindful consumption of technology and social media, in an effort to lessen the progression of instant gratification and the decline in attention spans. We encourage smart phone users to spend more time in the present moment, instead of getting stuck in a dopamine loop. Our primary goal is to help people reduce their screen times, and generally improve their smartphone habits. We advocate for a holistic approach to living, where users engage with their senses in the real world, instead of through a screen.

We aim to make users realize that their time is valuable, and how they spend it matters. SPIRAL offers ways for users to control their scroll, and engage with the physical world that lies before them. The key demographic is mainly Gen Z, although people in all age ranges suffer from the negative impacts of smartphone addiction. Our visuals are bold and eye-catching, which is sure to grab the attention of people passing by. We take a direct and unexpected approach to marketing, utilizing tongue-in-cheek humor and user interactivity.
